Crete power outages scheduled for Monday maintenance

Planned power outages are scheduled for various regions in Crete on Monday, October 19, 2026, due to maintenance, reinforcement, and upgrading works by the Hellenic Electricity Distribution Network Operator (HEDNO).

In the Heraklion region, outages will affect the Municipality of Heraklion (notably Dodkanisou and G. Papandreou streets) and the Municipality of Malevizi, impacting several businesses and residential areas including the Simeakis factory. The Municipality of Minos Pedias will also experience brief interruptions in Kato Kastelliana.

In the Chania region, the Municipality of Platanias will see outages in Kyrtomado, Kato Gerani, and the broader Platanias area. Additionally, parts of Rethymno are scheduled for service interruptions in the Agios Vasileios area.
