Crikvenica to host public forum on youth violence

The Dr. Antun Barca Secondary School in Crikvenica is organizing a public forum titled “#iza ekrana – Nije sve samo šala!” (Behind the Screen – It is Not Just a Joke!) on November 3, 2026. The event aims to address the boundaries between teasing, conflict, and violence, specifically focusing on peer violence and the impact of social media.

Part of the international CARING 2.0 project and the Science Afternoon program, the forum is designed to give students an equal voice alongside experts. Rather than a series of lectures, the event will facilitate a dialogue between young people and professionals, such as Professor Jasminka Zloković from the University of Rijeka, to bridge scientific perspectives with the daily lived experiences of youth.
