Crime incidents in La Plata and Alto Comedero spark security concerns

Recent violent robberies in Argentina have raised security concerns in the La Plata and Alto Comedero regions.

In La Plata, specifically in the Altos de San Lorenzo area, three armed individuals on two white Honda Wave motorcycles intercepted a woman. One assailant used a firearm to threaten the victim, successfully stealing her black Honda Wave 110 motorcycle. Security camera footage of the incident is currently being used as part of an investigation by the Eighth Police Station. Local residents noted that two of the suspects may be known individuals in the neighborhood.

In Alto Comedero, a teenage girl was assaulted while walking to school near Secondary School No. 43. An assailant on a 110cc motorcycle approached the victim from behind and threatened her with a knife, demanding her cell phone. The suspects fled toward the Aeroclub settlement. The incident was reported to the Investigation Brigade, highlighting growing concerns regarding the safety of students commuting to educational institutions.
