Crime reports from Mashhad, Tehran, and Jiroft

Various criminal incidents and law enforcement actions have been reported across Iran. In Mashhad, police have dismantled the ‘Night Bats’ gang, a professional group specializing in nighttime thefts. The gang targeted electronics stores and vehicle components, such as batteries and ECUs, using vehicles with fraudulent license plates. The gang leader reportedly has a criminal record of approximately 13 offenses.

In Jiroft, a minor who had been held captive for three months was successfully rescued. The release was achieved through the combined efforts of law enforcement, judicial authorities, and local mediators. Investigations into the kidnappers are ongoing.

In Tehran, police arrested a woman for stealing approximately 250 grams of gold, valued at 50 billion rials, from her father-in-law’s safe. The suspect admitted to replacing the real gold with counterfeits after using a key to access the safe.

Additionally, a theft involving the coordinated robbery of rice sacks by four individuals using motorcycles was reported in the Shadabad area of Tehran. Authorities have issued warnings to local merchants to remain vigilant against distraction-based theft tactics.
