Criminal messages reveal details of attempted murder of Igor Krstović

Investigative documents have revealed intercepted communications regarding an attempted murder of Igor Krstović on January 28, 2020, in the Zeta settlement of Balijače. Messages sent via the Sky ECC encrypted platform show Vidoje Stanišić coordinating with Saša Stanišić and other members of a criminal group to track Krstović and execute the attack.

According to the investigation, the group waited for the opportune moment to open fire with automatic weapons while Krstović was in his vehicle. Following the shooting, which left Krstović seriously wounded, the attackers set their own vehicle on fire near Kakaricka Gora to destroy evidence. Messages sent after the incident show the suspects celebrating their escape and discussing how they managed to evade police checkpoints.
