Pearl Abyss to release Crimson Desert DLC on October 30

Pearl Abyss is set to release its first paid expansion for the open-world action-adventure game Crimson Desert, titled ‘Charting the Unknown’. The DLC is scheduled for release on October 30, 2026, following a slight delay from its original mid-October target to allow for additional development time.

The expansion introduces several major gameplay mechanics to the world of Pywel. Players will gain access to naval traversal and combat, allowing them to sail customizable ships and engage in battles against pirates. Underwater exploration is also a core feature, enabling players to discover ruins and secrets using diving suits or submersible versions of the A.T.A.G. mech.

Social and lifestyle elements are being expanded through a new housing system and the ability to manage personal businesses. Additionally, the DLC introduces romance and marriage mechanics, allowing protagonists to form relationships with key NPCs. The expansion requires the base game to play and may require certain levels of in-game progress to access all new content.
