Crimson Desert expansion Charting the Unknown set for October 29 release

The first paid expansion for Crimson Desert, titled ‘Charting the Unknown’, is scheduled to launch on October 29 for $25. The DLC will see the character Kliff and his crew venture beyond the borders of Pywel to face new conflicts and supernatural threats, including ghostly enemy ships.

New gameplay features include a ship-building system that allows players to customize the design of their vessel, including the bow, stern, cannons, and sails. The expansion will also introduce naval combat mechanics involving cannon fire and ship ramming.

To prepare for the expansion, players are encouraged to complete several key objectives, such as finishing the main story, establishing the Greymane camp at Howling Hill, and completing Luke’s quest. Other recommended activities include liberating faction territories, gathering resources like silver and materials, and improving character relationships.
