Crimson Desert reaches 6 million sales and launches global “Beyond the Abyss” video contest
Pearl Abyss’s open‑world action‑adventure game Crimson Desert has sold 6 million copies worldwide after 83 days on the market, becoming the fastest‑selling solo‑title from South Korea. The game launched on 19 March 2026 and recorded two million sales on day one and five million within a month, ranking second in U.S. video‑game sales for 2026 according to Circana. Pearl Abyss plans a series of content updates and the first DLC between June and September, adding new combat, narrative tweaks and cross‑save support.
At the same time the studio announced the “Beyond the Abyss: Community Challenge”, a worldwide video‑submission contest that invites players to showcase memorable moments from the fictional continent of Pywel. Ten winners will be selected, with the grand prize a fully‑paid trip to Pearl Abyss’s headquarters in South Korea. The contest follows strong community engagement: Twitch viewers logged over 31 million hours in 2026 and a single TikTok clip surpassed six million views.
