Serie A players face international call-ups and injury concerns

The Serie A international break has triggered significant roster shifts and injury concerns across several Italian clubs. A total of 208 players have been called up to their respective national teams, with Como and AC Milan leading the league with 15 players each. Atalanta follows closely with 13 players, including several for the Italian national team such as Carnesecchi, Raspadori, Scalvini, and Scamacca.

Injury reports are a major focus for several teams during this period. Juventus is facing a critical situation with an estimated 150 matches to be missed due to various player injuries. Napoli is monitoring the recovery of Scott McTominay, who is expected to return to training following a cardiac ablation procedure, as well as Alex Meret and Leonardo Spinazzola. Meanwhile, Federico Dimarco has been ruled out of Italy's upcoming Nations League matches due to a knee injury, leading to the emergency call-up of Matteo Ruggeri.

Clubs are utilizing the break for different strategic purposes. Sassuolo aims to use the three-week hiatus to recover injured players like Jay Idzes, while Napoli has scheduled a friendly against Avellino to maintain match fitness and evaluate recovering players.
