Cristian Chivu clarifies Hakan Calhanoglu's status at Inter

Cristian Chivu has addressed rumors regarding Hakan Calhanoglu's recent activities. Ahead of the match against Parma, Chivu clarified that Calhanoglu has been training with the group for a week without restrictions and is available for selection.

Chivu explained that the confusion regarding Calhanoglu not attending a recent match stemmed from a late training session on Monday. He noted that he chose to have the player train rather than granting him a day off to watch the game, stating, “the problem was me.”

Additionally, Chivu commented on the media narrative surrounding Inter Milan, emphasizing the team's focus on competitiveness and dismissing the need for external labels or premature discussions about the club's standing after only five league matches.
