Critical Minerals Financing Corp (CMFC) Rebrands and Relocates HQ to Lagos

Deap Capital Management & Trust Plc has completed its corporate name change to Critical Minerals Financing Corp (CMFC) Plc after securing all required regulatory approvals. The transformation was announced to the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) and the public on 18 June 2026.

CMFC Plc moved its registered headquarters to Number One Lagos, 1 Akin Adesola Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, positioning the firm in Nigeria’s financial hub. Chairman Lamon Rutten said the change marks the start of a new phase, with the company now focused on capital structuring, investment banking, transaction advisory, project‑development support and financing solutions for stakeholders across the gold, copper, cobalt, lithium, tungsten, tin, tantalum and other critical‑mineral sectors.

CMFC plans to bridge financing and transaction‑structuring gaps in Africa’s mining industry by leveraging global expertise, strategic partnerships and an expanded governance framework. The firm intends to pursue regional expansion, large‑scale mining and commodities transactions, and to support industrial development and export growth across the continent.
