Croatia announces upcoming folklore festivals and leadership calls

Various cultural and folkloric events are being organized in Croatia. The Organizing Committee for the Igra kolo Original Folklore Review of Karlovac County has issued a public call for an artistic director for a two-year term. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing the program and financial plan, executing the review, and collaborating with the director of POU Ogulin.

Additionally, the 61st edition of Vinkovačke jeseni has been announced. The manifestation will begin with the Festival of Children's Folklore of Croatia and a parade, with the official opening scheduled for September 18. The program includes a state review of original folklore, a parade of participants, and a review of horse carriages and riders. The event aims to preserve traditional customs, knowledge, and skills passed down through generations.
