Croatia hosts Mediterranean culinary and wine festivals

Croatia has hosted two significant culinary and gastronomic events aimed at promoting regional traditions and enhancing tourism.

In Dubrovnik, the third edition of the ‘Taste the Mediterranean’ festival concluded at the Hotel Excelsior. The event focused on Mediterranean diet, culture, and lifestyle, featuring collaborations between renowned chefs such as Giacomo Sacchetta and Mate Matić. The festival serves as a gathering for international experts, including chefs, producers, and nutritionists, to exchange knowledge through themed dinners, wine tastings, and workshops.

In Medulin, the ‘Medulin Wine & Gastro’ event took place at the Park Plaza Belvedere hotel. This program emphasized local and regional eno-gastronomy and service quality improvement. The event included professional presentations on guest communication, food and wine pairing workshops led by Chef Ljiljana Ferenčić and sommelier Antonela Mrkonja, and showcases of local products such as Tricolore sardines and Istrian beef. The initiative aims to connect tourism workers and producers to strengthen the Medulin Riviera's culinary identity.
