Regional festivals and events scheduled across the Balkans

Various regional cultural, agricultural, and sporting events are scheduled across the Balkans. In Serbia, Subotica will host the 13th ‘Zavičajni dani’ from September 3 to 6, featuring music, traditional dance, and a humanitarian concert to support the construction of the Temple of Saint Prophet Elijah. Kragujevac will hold the 22nd Šumadija Agricultural Fair, focusing on modern machinery, livestock exhibitions, and traditional crafts. Zaječar is set to host the 11th Festival of Christian Culture and Spiritual Documentary Film starting September 3.

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mostar will host the 8th Sevdah Fest on September 17, aimed at preserving the sevdalinka musical heritage. Prijedor will host ‘Dani sporta’ from September 7 to 9, featuring various sports presentations and tournaments.

In Montenegro, Cetinje is organizing the ‘Rijeka doživljaja’ event on September 6 at Lake Crnojević, combining nature activities like kayaking with gastronomy and music. Nikšić will host the ‘Durrador 2026 – Urban’ obstacle course race on September 5.

In Croatia, Karlovac recently concluded its 39th Beer Days festival, while other regional festivities include local cultural and culinary events.
