Croatia and Montenegro inaugurate new childcare and recreational facilities

Various municipalities across Croatia and Montenegro are completing infrastructure projects focused on early childhood development and community recreation.

In Croatia, the City of Krk officially opened the Katarina Frankopan kindergarten in Vrh, a project valued at 5.59 million euros, partially funded by European recovery resources. In Đurmanec, a new branch of the Đurmanec Kindergarten has been inaugurated to provide additional capacity for approximately 80 children. Additionally, the Municipality of Lepoglava has equipped the Višnica branch of its kindergarten with modern educational tools and furniture, with plans to expand capacities in both Lepoglava and Višnica.

Recreational developments include a maritime-themed playground in Makarska, designed to educate children on Adriatic maritime heritage, and the completion of a new playground at the Sloga football stadium in Borovo. In Montenegro, a new multifunctional sports field was opened at the Braća Ribar primary school in Brzava, funded by the Ministry of Sports and Youth.

Several of these projects utilized co-financing from the Ministry of Demography and Migration to support local development and educational standards.
