Croatia launches €15,000 vehicle subsidy for large families
The Croatian Ministry of Demography and Immigration, together with the "Croatia for Children" foundation, has introduced a pilot programme that will co‑finance up to half the price of a seven‑seat vehicle for families with four or more children. Eligible families can receive a grant of up to €15,000, applicable to both new and used cars that meet the seating requirement.
The scheme is funded with a total budget of €2.2 million and will cover 50 % of the vehicle’s value, including VAT. A public call for applications is expected to be published in September, at which time detailed eligibility criteria and required documentation will be released. The programme aims to ease daily transport needs such as school, childcare, medical visits and family trips.
Potential eligible models include the Renault Grand Scenic, Volkswagen Touran, Škoda Kodiaq (seven‑seat version), Dacia Jogger, Peugeot 5008, Citroën C4 SpaceTourer, Ford Galaxy, SEAT Tarraco and Kia Sorento, among others.
