Croatia launches digital tool for job valuation and pay transparency
The Croatian Ministry of Labour, Pension System, Family and Social Policy has introduced a new digital tool titled ‘Methodology for Job Valuation’ to assist employers in complying with the EU Pay Transparency Directive. Developed with support from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the free tool is designed to facilitate objective and gender-neutral assessments of work value.
The methodology utilizes four key criteria mandated by the Directive: skills, responsibility, effort, and working conditions. To accommodate different organizational structures, the tool provides three distinct models tailored for small, medium, and large enterprises. It includes digital features for automated scoring, the creation of assessment tables, and the determination of job complexity categories.
Minister Alen Ružić announced that upcoming amendments to the Labour Act will establish a National Pay Transparency System. This system will enable employers to report on wage differences between men and women, supporting the existing legal right to equal pay for work of equal value.
