Croatia launches support program for parents of abuse victims

The organization Ženska soba has launched a three-year program titled ‘Improving the support system for parents whose children are victims of sexual abuse and exploitation’. The initiative aims to establish a sustainable support system for families across Croatia.

Developed in partnership with Hrabri telefon and the ‘Duga – Zagreb’ home for victims of domestic violence, the program receives financial support from the Ministry of Labour, Pension System, Family and Social Policy. Anamaria Drožđan-Kranjčec, head of the legal team at Ženska soba, noted that parents often face a lack of clear, timely information regarding legal procedures, rights, and how to support their children without adding further emotional burden.
