Croatia marks anniversaries of King Zvonimir and Queen Jelena Slavna
Commemorations are underway in Croatia to mark significant historical milestones, including the 950th anniversary of the coronation of King Zvonimir and the 1050th anniversary of the death of Queen Jelena Slavna. In Zagreb, the Croatian Royal Council organized a three-day event from October 6 to October 8, which included a holy mass at the Church of St. Blaise.
In conjunction with these anniversaries and the 1100th anniversary of the Croatian Kingdom, the City Library Kaštela is hosting a lecture by Dr. Dino Milinović. The presentation focuses on the exhibition ‘In the Beginning There Was a Kingdom,’ which was held at the Klovićevi dvori Gallery. The exhibition featured over 400 historical items, including medieval stone monuments, royal documents, and ecclesiastical vessels, tracing Croatian statehood and national identity from the early Middle Ages to the present day.
