Croatia Ministry of Culture announces public call for cultural funding

The Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia has announced a public call to propose public needs in culture for the upcoming year. This initiative aims to support programs, projects, activities, and cultural manifestations of interest to the state.

Applications are open to various entities, including cultural institutions, art organizations, individual artists, associations, and local or regional self-government units. The scope of support covers diverse fields such as museum and library activities, book publishing, literary programs, performing arts (drama and dance), music, visual arts, and international cultural cooperation. Additionally, the call includes funding for the construction, reconstruction, and equipping of cultural infrastructure.

Specific deadlines apply to different categories. For general cultural needs, applications must be submitted between September 9 and October 9, 2026. Programs related to the protection and preservation of archaeological heritage, cultural goods, and the digitalization of cultural heritage, as well as library procurement, have a separate application window from September 28 to October 28, 2026.
