Croatian police seize large drug shipment on Pag, arrest six foreigners
Six suspected drug dealers, including British and Italian nationals, were arrested on the island of Pag in a coordinated operation by Croatian police. The seizure comprised 168.8 g of marijuana, 107.3 g of cocaine, 44.1 g of ketamine, 66.77 g of MDMA, 391 MDMA tablets and 15 LSD tablets. Interior Minister Davor Božinović said the action broke another drug‑distribution chain targeting the summer tourist season and emphasized that Croatia has filed 1,450 drug‑related complaints and arrested 506 individuals in the first five months of the year – a 35 % increase over the same period last year. He added that the police continue to detect and apprehend foreign traffickers who come to the country to exploit the influx of tourists.
