Croatia requests 2.7 billion euros from EU recovery fund
Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković has submitted a combined final, ninth, and tenth payment request for the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NPOO) totaling 2.7 billion euros to the European Union.
The Croatian government reported that all measures were completed as of August 31. The request follows the successful implementation of 78 reforms and 244 investment indicators. To date, Croatia has already withdrawn 7.3 billion euros from the recovery mechanism.
Evaluation by the European Commission and the EU's Economic and Financial Committee is expected to continue, with final payments for the remaining 153 indicators anticipated by the end of 2026. The government noted that Croatia ranks among the most successful EU member states in utilizing these funds, with its allocation representing 13 percent of its annual GDP.
