Croatia upgrades preschool playground infrastructure

Local governments in Croatia are completing infrastructure projects to improve preschool environments through funding from the Ministry of Demography and Family.

In the Radonić branch of the Drniš Kindergarten, the Municipality of Unešić is finalizing the renovation and equipping of a children's playground. The project aims to provide a safer and more stimulating outdoor space for motor, social, and emotional development. The initiative is supported by the Ministry of Demography and Family of the Republic of Croatia to improve material conditions in local kindergartens.

In Metković, the City of Metković has completed the ‘SIGURAN KORAK’ project at the Metković Kindergarten. Supported by 33,468.06 euros in grants from the Ministry of Demography and Family, the project involved replacing old concrete with 183.20 square meters of waterproof anti-stress rubber flooring. The renovation also included the installation of motor playgrounds and didactic equipment to support physical activity and socialization.
