In the Czech Republic, following record-breaking temperatures, the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute has warned of strong thunderstorms, wind gusts, and hail. These storms are expected to bring much-needed rain to drought-stricken areas, though they may cause localized damage such as fallen trees.

In Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, a cold front is expected to bring rain, thunderstorms, and potentially hail. While these showers offer relief from the heat, meteorologists note that they do not signal the definitive end of summer, as temperatures are expected to fluctuate.

Germany and the Alpine regions are also bracing for heavy precipitation. Some weather models suggest significant rainfall amounts, potentially exceeding 150 to 200 liters per square meter in certain areas through early September due to moisture-laden low-pressure systems hitting the mountains.

In Hungary, a cold front will bring showers and thunderstorms, followed by a temporary drop in temperature before warmth returns later in the week.
