Croatian Crobex index falls second week, Končar and transport stocks drop

The Zagreb Stock Exchange's flagship Crobex index dropped more than 0.4 % last week, closing at 4,452 points, marking a second consecutive week of decline. The broader Crobex10 also slipped about 0.42 % to 2,869 points, while total regular trading volume was €14.7 million, roughly €0.3 million lower than the week before.

Sector performance was mixed. The transport sector index fell 2.3 % on Monday, extending a three‑day correction, while the tourism sector rose 0.7 % on stronger hotel‑related stocks. Industry indices also showed weakness, with the industrial index down 1.6 % over the week.

Individual shares saw varied moves. Končar Elektroindustrija traded heavily, its price rising 1.7 % on €7.84 million of turnover, but later fell 1.6 % for the third day in a row on lower volume. Valamar Riviera gained 2.6 % after announcing a new sales‑platform model for premium hotels. Other gainers included Spania and Adrisa, while Visa plunged 10.1 % and Alpha Adriatica and Lošinjska plovidba dropped 4.8 % and 3.7 % respectively.
