By late August, the CROBEX index showed signs of stabilization, hovering between 4,407 and 4,414 points. Investor attention shifted toward upcoming economic data regarding second-quarter GDP, which confirmed a slowdown to 1.7 percent growth compared to the previous year. Despite this, retail consumption showed signs of acceleration in July.
During the final week of August, trading activity and turnover increased significantly. Stock turnover rose by 13.3 percent, and money market instrument trading surged by 957.6 percent. The CROBEX and CROBEXtr indices recorded slight growth of 0.15 percent, while the CROBEX10 and CROBEX10tr indices grew by 0.5 percent. The food industry sector, represented by the CROBEXnutris index, saw a notable increase of over 2 percent. Končar remained a primary source of liquidity, while Luka Rijeka experienced a sharp single-session price increase of 11.8 percent.
By early September, the market trend shifted toward a weekly decline. The CROBEX index weakened by 0.22 percent to 4,389 points, marking a weekly decrease of approximately 0.9 percent. The CROBEX10 saw a slight increase of 0.05 percent to 2,851 points, though it declined by about 0.6 percent on a weekly basis. In recent sessions, Končar remained the most liquid stock with a 1.38 percent price increase, and Zagrebačka banka saw a 0.45 percent rise. Conversely, Luka Rijeka was the largest loser among liquid stocks, with its price dropping 5.9 percent to 16 euros.
