Croatian municipalities increase financial support for students

Local governments in Croatia are implementing various financial support measures for students as the new school year begins. In Imotski, there has been an increase in first-grade enrollments, with 18 more students registered compared to the previous year. To support these students, the municipality is providing free workbooks and access to the 'Gradivo' portal for state graduation exam preparation. Additionally, plans are underway for the energy renovation of local primary schools, including the Stjepan Radić school, to modernize energy systems and improve learning conditions.

Velika Gorica has emerged as a national leader in budget allocations for student support. The city has secured a total of 866,000 euros for educational assistance. This includes 336,000 euros specifically for approximately 2,400 high school students residing in the city, providing a one-time payment of 140 euros each for textbooks and materials. The remaining 530,000 euros is dedicated to primary school students, covering the costs of workbooks, art folders, and other essential supplies.
