Regional authorities launch business and agricultural support programs

Various municipalities and regional authorities across the Balkans are implementing programs to support small businesses, agriculture, and entrepreneurship.

In Montenegro, the Municipality of Bar is launching the ‘Pokreni priču’ Entrepreneurship Camp for high school students to develop business concepts and financial literacy. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, over one hundred small businesses in the Podrinje and Semberija regions signed agreements with the Federal Ministry of Displaced Persons and Refugees to preserve jobs for returnees.

In Croatia, several cities have announced financial aid measures. Zadar has allocated funds for small businesses to invest in technology, innovation, and energy efficiency, as well as for traditional crafts. Đurđevac has distributed nearly 17,000 euros in agricultural subsidies, while Slatina has secured 50,000 euros for entrepreneurs and farmers. Beli Manastir has provided support to 12 micro-entrepreneurs, and Imotski is subsidizing solar power installations for households. Additionally, Varaždinske Toplice continues to provide subsidies to local beekeepers to combat environmental challenges.
