Croatian police seize large caches of drugs and weapons

Police in Croatia carried out two major raids. In Igrane, Split‑Dalmatia County, officers seized a semi‑automatic rifle, a pipe‑gun, a pistol, a air gun, ammunition (177 rifle rounds, 41 pistol rounds, 38 small‑calibre rounds), four detonator caps, 40 m of slow‑burning fuse and 30 g of black powder, together with 21 g of cannabis and 15 g of psilocybin mushrooms. The 20‑year‑old suspect was arrested, a second man was detained, and a 29‑year‑old with prior drug‑offence convictions was also taken into custody. Methamphetamine was also recovered.

In Tisno, Šibenik‑Knin County, police raided the apartment of a 25‑year‑old Dutch national. They confiscated more than 4 174 MDMA tablets, 372 g of MDMA powder, additional MDMA in crystal form, 350 g of ketamine, 331 LSD‑sheet “cut‑outs”, 234 g of cannabis, 7.2 g of cocaine and several digital scales. The suspect was arrested and handed over to the prison police. Both operations resulted in criminal charges for illegal drug production and trafficking as well as unlawful possession of firearms and explosives.
