Croatia's Istria and Vukovar‑Srijem Crown Local Contest Winners

Seventeen‑year‑old Matea Krt from Pula was crowned Miss Istarska County after a six‑contestant pageant in Lux Beach Bar, Istria. The competition featured three runway rounds with evening gowns and wedding dresses, judged by a panel that included the previous Miss Istarska, Zara Hurtić, and officials from the local tourism board. Krt, a technical‑school student who plans to study civil engineering, will go on to represent Istria in the upcoming Miss Croatia national contest.

Marija Kalistović, a farmer from Drenovci in Vukovar‑Srijem County, won the 26th "Najuzornija hrvatska seoska žena" (Most Proud Croatian Rural Woman) contest held in Ilok on 3 October 2026. Kalistović, who manages a 37‑hectare family farm with a mixed livestock operation, was praised for her dedication to traditional agriculture and family values. Her victory also means that Ilok and Vukovar‑Srijem will host next year’s edition of the competition.
