Croatia's Kooltura voucher activated by 10,000 youths

The Croatian Ministry of Culture and Media has announced that 10,000 eighteen-year-olds have activated the 'Kooltura' cultural voucher. In less than five months since the pilot project began, over 10,500 transactions totaling 280,000 euros have been completed for cultural and media content.

Users have shown the highest interest in books and cinema. The network of service providers is expanding, with vinyl records set to be included starting this autumn. The voucher provides 100 euros to young people turning 18 in 2026, intended for books, museum entries, theaters, cinemas, concerts, and other approved cultural products.

Minister Nina Obuljen Koržinek stated that the initiative aims to increase the accessibility of culture and art, foster cultural habits among youth, and strengthen communication between creators and young audiences.
