Cronos film recreates 2017 Barcelona terrorist attacks

The film ‘Cronos’, directed by Fernando González Molina, recreates the August 2017 terrorist attacks in Barcelona and Cambrils. The movie focuses on the ‘Cronos’ police operation, a 124-hour deployment activated to locate and apprehend those responsible for the attacks that struck Las Ramblas.

Rather than focusing on the massacre itself, the narrative centers on the institutional response and the law enforcement officers involved. Key characters include an inspector played by Enric Auquer and a Mossos d'Esquadra spokesperson portrayed by Diana Gómez. Actor Alberto Trejo also appears in the film, portraying an officer involved in the search operations at the Alcanar residence.

The film is based on journalistic investigations and aims to depict the tension and decision-making processes faced by authorities during the crisis.
