Toni Castejón, spokesperson for the FEPOL union, described these remarks as an “insult to the officers who experienced the horror of the 2017 attacks,” leading to calls for a boycott of the film.

Auquer, who portrays an inspector based on Jordi Rodón, has since addressed his role and his stance on the police force. While expressing mixed feelings and noting criticisms regarding the handling of protests and accountability, he acknowledged that within the corps, there are agents “committed to ethical and democratic policing who strive to perform their duties effectively.”
