Italy expands school infrastructure through PNRR funding
Various Italian municipalities and regional administrations are inaugurating new educational facilities and implementing safety upgrades, largely supported by PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan) funding.
In the Piedmont region, Governor Alberto Cirio is visiting schools in the Cuneo province to mark the start of the 2026/2027 school year, including the inauguration of a new childcare center in Rifreddo. Other notable developments include the reopening of the Nidotondo in Recanati after three years of work and the inauguration of a new nursery in Fara d’Adda.
In Montone, a new school canteen has been opened with expanded capacity, while Cuorgnè has inaugurated the “Gli Sbirulini” nursery. Additionally, Castel Mella has opened the “Le Piccole Orme” nursery, and Castellalto is allocating nearly 700,000 euros to improve school building safety and fire prevention. In Crosia, completed works have addressed structural risks at the Via dell’Arte school to ensure safety before classes begin.
