Pescia team wins Young Innovators Award for plastic recycling technology
The third edition of the Young Innovators Award in Emilia-Romagna has concluded, highlighting youth-led technological solutions. The top prize was awarded to a team from the ITS Marchi-Forti in Pescia, consisting of Marco Martinelli, Cristian Magnani, and Iacopo Maltagliati.
Their winning project, titled Reinvento, focuses on technological sustainability by utilizing a device designed to convert plastic bottles into filament for 3D printers. Other notable participants included Vieri Conversano Mariotti, who took second place with the AI Point project, and a third-place team composed of Matilde Bartoli, Elena Comorasu, and Chiara Ceccatelli.
The initiative, which fosters collaboration between educational institutions and the productive sector, provides winners with mentoring through Sweat Equity to help structure their entrepreneurial activities and transform school talents into viable start-ups.
