Crown Princess Victoria's Award Ceremony Delayed During Öland Summer
In July 2026 Crown Princess Victoria was scheduled to present the "Årets ölänning" award on Öland. The ceremony, planned for 15 July, was postponed to the autumn for practical reasons beyond the organizers' control. The palace said the royal family "has understanding and respect for this decision" and confirmed the postponement.
Since 2012 Victoria and Prince Daniel have lived apart from the main royal household, residing in Villa Skönvik, a 328 m² private home within the Solliden estate on Öland. The villa serves as their summer residence and a base for their children, while the rest of the Swedish royal family continues to use the historic Solliden Castle for the season.
