Crujiente restaurant named finalist in Prix Baron B gastronomy competition
Crujiente, a private dining restaurant located in Ushuaia, has been named a finalist for the eighth edition of the Prix Baron B–Édition Cuisine, Argentina’s most prestigious gastronomy competition. Led by Leandro Giménez and Camila Fernández, the establishment focuses on Tierra del Fuego’s identity through a tasting menu centered on local ingredients and responsible fishing.
The restaurant emphasizes collaboration with local producers, fishermen, and gatherers to reflect the regional landscape. The competition, which recognizes gastronomic projects with a sustainable outlook and territorial identity, will hold its final on August 27 at the Faena Art Center in Buenos Aires. Crujiente will compete alongside two other finalists: Anna Restaurante de Campo from Chaco and Alcanfor from Villa Crespo, Buenos Aires.
