Cryptocurrency market faces pressure as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana prices decline
Major cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and XRP, have experienced significant price declines this year. Bitcoin has fallen approximately 29%, while Ethereum, Solana, and XRP have seen drops of 37%, 40%, and 47% respectively.
Market analysts attribute this downturn to high interest rates maintained by the Federal Reserve, which provides investors with guaranteed returns through government bonds, reducing the appeal of volatile digital assets. Additionally, capital outflows from cryptocurrency ETFs have pressured prices, particularly for Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Despite technical performance, such as Solana processing up to 171.9 million transactions in a single day and maintaining high uptime, market prices remain stagnant or under pressure due to liquidity and macroeconomic factors. Future recovery is largely tied to potential interest rate cuts and the return of institutional buyers.
