Cryptocurrency markets face significant volatility and price declines

Major cryptocurrencies have experienced significant market volatility and value declines. Bitcoin, which reached a historic high of over $126,000 in October 2025, saw its value drop to approximately $65,000 by August 2026, representing a nearly 50% decrease from its peak.

Ethereum also faced substantial losses, falling approximately 50% from its recent levels to trade around $1,930 in August 2026. Other notable assets including Solana and BNB saw declines of roughly 60% and 25% respectively, while XRP experienced a 68% collapse in value following profit-taking and reduced liquidity.

In response to market fluctuations, investors are increasingly utilizing crypto lending platforms to maintain liquidity without selling their underlying assets. Services such as CoinRabbit, Morpho, Ledn, Binance Loans, and Unchained allow users to use digital assets as collateral to secure loans, offering both centralized (CeFi) and decentralized (DeFi) options.
