Manchester United eyes £50m move for Dutch winger Crysencio Summerville
West Ham United winger Crysencio Summerville, 24, impressed at the 2026 World Cup by scoring in the Netherlands' 2‑2 draw with Japan. His performances have sparked interest from several clubs, most notably Manchester United, which is reported to be prepared to meet West Ham’s asking price of around £50‑£60 million for the Dutch international.
Summerville joined West Ham from Leeds United in 2024 for a fee of €29 million and recorded seven goals and five assists across 34 games last season, despite the club’s relegation to the Championship. He is under contract until June 2029, giving West Ham leverage in negotiations. While the club has indicated it will not rush a sale, it may consider offers after the World Cup as interest also comes from Tottenham, PSG, Real Madrid and other Premier League sides.
Manchester United view Summerville as a player who can add speed, versatility and depth to the left‑wing position, potentially supplementing or replacing existing options. A deal in the region of £45‑£60 million would likely satisfy West Ham’s valuation, though the club’s new owner, Daniel Křetínsky, has suggested that retaining key assets is a priority despite the recent relegation.
