Crystal Palace and Roma Pursue Fenerbahçe Defender Jayden Oosterwolde
Crystal Palace have formally notified Fenerbahçe that they wish to sign Dutch defender Jayden Oosterwolde, with an official bid expected imminently. The club, having lost Maxence Lacroix to Chelsea, is looking to strengthen its back line ahead of a Europa League campaign.
Italian side AS Roma has also approached the player’s representatives, and both English and Italian clubs are expected to submit offers soon. Interest has been reported from clubs in Spain and France as well, although the defender has indicated he is not prioritising moves to La Liga or Ligue 1.
Fenerbahçe, which signed Oosterwolde from Parma in January 2023 for €6 million, has set a €25 million release clause and is prepared to demand a high fee. The 25‑year‑old has made 111 appearances for the Turkish club, scoring three goals and providing one assist.
