Crystal Palace targets Toulouse defender Charlie Cresswell

Crystal Palace have identified 23‑year‑old English centre‑back Charlie Cresswell of Toulouse FC as their top target in the upcoming transfer window. The club, managed by newly appointed Pierre Sage, view Cresswell as a potential replacement for Maxence Lacroix, who is expected to depart for Chelsea. Negotiations are reportedly underway, with Palace aiming to meet Toulouse's valuation of around €25‑30 million, after Stade Rennais withdrew a lower offer.

Cresswell has expressed a desire to return to the Premier League, and Palace appear to have gained an advantage over other interested clubs such as Leeds United and Coventry City. The deal could be finalised before the start of the next season, pending agreement on transfer terms and personal conditions.
