Crystal Temptations recalls Halloween candy over undeclared milk

Crystal Temptations is recalling several varieties of its Halloween Chocolatey Eyeballs due to undeclared milk. The recall was initiated after a TJX analyst discovered the presence of whey, a milk ingredient, which was not disclosed on the product packaging. The FDA noted that the labeling error resulted from a temporary breakdown in the company’s production and packaging processes.

The affected products were sold at Marshalls, TJ Maxx, HomeGoods, and Sierra stores. They were distributed across 13 states, including New Jersey, Arizona, Texas, Virginia, Georgia, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Indiana, Nevada, California, Connecticut, Ohio, and Wyoming.

While no illnesses have been reported, the FDA warns that individuals with milk allergies or severe sensitivities could experience serious or life-threatening reactions. Consumers are urged to destroy the products. Because refunds are not available at the point of sale, customers seeking a refund must contact Crystal Temptations directly with proof of purchase.
