Dinamo București pushes ahead with stadium work and adds new striker
The new Dinamo București arena, valued at around €117 million, has resumed construction after a pause for technical approvals. Mayor of Sector 2 Rareș Hopincă said work will restart in August and confirmed that funding from the municipality and the Ministry of Culture is in place, with the stadium slated to open in 2028. Club president Ionuț Popa added that the first demolition phase finished a month early and that no further delays are expected, keeping the January 2029 completion target.
Meanwhile, Dinamo’s transfer window is active. The club announced the signing of striker Oliver Hintsa, a 25‑year‑old Eritrean‑Swedish forward from Norwegian side Sogndal, who arrived for a medical in Poland and is expected to sign a contract soon. Additional targets mentioned by club officials include several defenders, midfielders and attackers, and the possible return of Romanian forward Vladislav Blănuță from Dinamo Kiev is under negotiation.
These developments reflect Dinamo’s effort to strengthen its squad while advancing the long‑awaited stadium project.
