Dinamo Bucharest restructuring continues
Entities: Dinamo București · George Pușcaș · Andrei Nicolescu · Alaa Bellaarouch · Zeljko Kopic
Overview
Dinamo Bucharest’s summer overhaul progressed through July 2026. President Andrei Nicolescu confirmed the club will not pursue forward Atanas Trică and added a €1 million release clause to the young Israeli defender’s contract. Forward George Pușcaș, still recovering from hernia‑inguinal surgery, entered talks to extend his deal until 2028 after previously rejecting a two‑year offer. Portuguese coach Nuno Campos, appointed in June, now also serves as technical leader.
The squad added 23‑year‑old Spanish right‑back Darío Benavides from Belgian side RAAL La Louvière on a contract to 30 June 2028 with an optional extra year; the €400,000 transfer was presented as a major defensive reinforcement, highlighting his ability to play centrally.
Goalkeeper Alaa Bellaarouch joined on loan until July 2027 after a standout performance in a 5‑1 win; Campos is weighing a permanent move if his form continues. The club remains challenged by Pușcaș’s prolonged recovery and limited minutes for several players, while negotiations for four additional signings are under way.
Financially, Red&White’s Renovatio injected roughly €17 million, and president Dan Gătăianțu announced a mobility partnership with Autoklass supplying three Audi SQ5s for staff and fourteen Volkswagen T‑Roc SUVs for players on lease. The €117‑million stadium project stays on track for 2028, while Dinamo seeks to trim its deficit despite missing European competition this season.
