CSG invests 1.2 billion CZK in Tatra Defence production expansion

CSG is implementing an extensive investment program at the Tatra Defence Vehicle (TDV) site in Kopřivnice, Czech Republic. Over the next three years, the company plans to invest approximately 1.2 billion CZK (roughly EUR 49.7 million) to expand production capacities for military land systems and related facilities.

The expansion will be executed in two stages, resulting in a total of 14,000 square meters of new production space. The first stage involves a 5,500-square-meter hall dedicated primarily to welding, with trial operations expected to begin in December 2026 and administrative sections completed by April 2027. The second stage will add approximately 8,500 square meters of space for machining and painting, scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2028.

Beyond physical construction, the investment covers new machine tools, specialized measuring equipment, surface treatment technologies, and a new three-story administrative building for over 150 employees. This growth is accompanied by a significant recruitment drive, with the company aiming to hire up to 300 new workers by the end of 2026 and an additional 100 people in 2027. TDV specializes in the development and production of wheeled armored vehicles, including the Pandur, Titus, and Tadeas models.
