CTC certifies 250 youth in Jamao al Norte for digital inclusion
The Community Technological Centers (CTC) have certified 250 children and young people in the municipality of Jamao al Norte, Espaillat province. This follows the completion of the “Verano Maker 2026” training camp, an educational initiative designed to promote maker culture through practical learning and technological creation.
The curriculum covered various modern technical skills, including artificial intelligence for beginners, digital marketing, introduction to programming, drone piloting, responsible design and sublimation, small business creation, and email management. The program aims to reduce the digital divide and provide tools for youth to enter the labor market or start their own entrepreneurial projects.
Local authorities, including Mayor Jairo Morillo Arvelo and Senator Carlos Gómez, attended the ceremony. CTC Director General Isidro Torres emphasized that these continuous training efforts align with the national vision to provide digital and vocational training opportunities for the youth.
