CTC digital inclusion and training programs in Dominican Rep
Overview
The Community Technological Centers (CTC) have implemented various training and certification programs across different regions in the Dominican Republic to promote digital inclusion and entrepreneurship.
In Jamao al Norte, Espaillat province, the “Verano Maker 2026” training camp certified 250 youth in subjects including artificial intelligence, programming, drone piloting, and digital marketing. This initiative was designed to reduce the digital divide and prepare young people for the labor market.
Following this, the CTC in Cabral, Barahona, certified 140 participants through the “Bootcamp Cabral Emprende 2026.” This program focused on specialized areas such as 3D digital design and sales forecasting. The event also saw the establishment of the ICT Youth Community and the Youth Entrepreneurs Network, aiming to turn the center into a collaborative co-working space for local productivity.
