Côte d’Ivoire agencies launch new national strategic initiatives

Various national agencies in Côte d’Ivoire are implementing new strategic initiatives across telecommunications, public procurement, and environmental management.

The Agence Ivoirienne de Gestion des Fréquences Radioélectriques (AIGF) is hosting the 2026 Radiocommunications Forum in Abidjan. The forum focuses on the deployment of terrestrial and satellite networks, spectrum management, and the national strategy regarding electromagnetic wave exposure.

To boost economic development, the Autorité Nationale de Régulation de la Commande Publique (ARCOP) is conducting training for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The goal is to improve their ability to compete for public contracts, leveraging existing measures such as a 30% quota reserved for SMEs in public procurement.

In environmental efforts, the Agence Nationale de Gestion des Déchets (ANAGED) is strengthening coordination with civil society organizations in the Abidjan Autonomous District. This partnership aims to harmonize waste management, promote the circular economy, and improve local sanitation through community-led initiatives.

Additionally, the Rotaract Club Abidjan-Adjamé has launched its 2026-2027 mandate, focusing on sustainable community impact through projects such as medical kit donations and educational support.
