Côte d'Ivoire assigns 218,943 students to secondary education

The Direction de l'Orientation et des Bourses (DOB) has announced the results for the orientation and assignment of 218,943 students from the third grade into the second grade of general and technical education, as well as the first year of the Brevet de Technicien (BT).

Of the total students oriented, 47.22% have been assigned to private institutions. The results follow deliberations held in Yamoussoukro between August 3 and August 7, 2026, based on choices submitted by parents between July 11 and July 27. Due to capacity constraints in requested schools, 8,090 students, representing 3.71% of the total, were placed in schools outside of their initial preferences.
